Abacus – an especially nice one by Battat – wooden with ten rows of ten beads, each row of beads is divided into two colours, perfect for counting to 100, addition, subtraction and multiplication. I also put stickers on for place value, so when abacus is turned on side you can use it for this. $10.00

Laminated Hundreds Boards – two of these, not homemade, nice and big squares are big enough to fit the poker chips in the above bucket well. $1.00 each.

Vinyl place value mat – Base ten place values on the one side, base ten decimals on the reverse by spectrum $2.00

Language Arts :

First Language Lessons by Jessie Wise – “ A complete grammar and writing test for those first two all-important years of study. First Language Lessons for the Well-Trained Mind uses copy work, narration, dictation, picture study and other classical techniques to develop the young student’s language ability” s.c.
