Hello ARCHE  members,

Just a note to let you all know that Sherry Simpkins on behalf of ARCHE has booked the South Leisure Centre for Friday afternoons starting Sept. 17-Nov. 26th, (except Thanksgiving and Remembrance day weekends) from 12:30-3:30. There will be no registration and no charge. There will be a gym time and probably a games time (educational, board or card) for each age group.  Parents will be in charge of supervising their own children during the gym and games time. If they are not able to they may ask another parent personally to do so. We will all need to clean up after ourselves and treat the facility with respect.

This will be a good way for children and parents to get some exercise and meet other home educating families. You do not have to attend every Friday only those Fridays that your schedule allows. Schedule and details to follow before Sept.17.

Amanda Eldred has taken over the treasurer position from Laura Holowachuk, so please mail your membership forms to Amanda. Amanda is also in charge of printing the membership directory which will be put together in October and mailed out around the beginning of November.  Many thanks goes to the Holowachuks for all their work! God bless you for your years of service.

Moms Encouraging Moms kickoff, download file here for details.

if you want to
be an ARCHE member, please print the pdf membership form off the website, fill it out and mail it with a $10 cheque made payable to ARCHE to the address on the membership information page. Volunteer Opportunity for Homeschoolers

Hi there! I have been homeschooling our children for the last ten years. I am new to Regina, but I participated in a ministry like the one below while in BC and my daughter volunteered with the childcare. It was such a good fit that I thought others might be interested in something similar.

Win/Win Volunteer opportunity for homeschoolers…Inter-church women’s ministry through Souls Harbour Rescue Mission needs childcare volunteers
Friday mornings, 9:30 am – 11:30 am @ St Andrews Building (Souls Harbour Day Care and Youth Centre) corner of Dewdney and Athol

Benefits:
-a chance to volunteer for the good of your community and in a ministry capacity
- a chance to be a blessing and allow mothers to be encouraged, knowing that their little ones are well cared for while they hear about God’s love
- a chance to meet new people and develop relationships as you volunteer together
-flexibility in schedule: volunteer every week or once a month or something in between
- a chance to build up your resume with experience, responsibility and references

We are also searching to fill two paid childcare positions (2 hours/week) preferably to someone with or working on their Early Childhood Education Certificate.

For more information, contact: Jasmine Towers 359-3385

*Note
– to all women interested in learning more about this inter-church ministry and outreach, Hands and Hearts, contact myself, Jasmine, or come to the informational meeting at the St Andrews Building, August 26th, 7 pm. Also look us up on Facebook: Hands and Hearts, Regina
