Laura Pettigrew and Glenna Stewart

Flute and Harp

Laura and Glenna have been performing as an ensemble since 1996.  They have been guest artists, featured musicians and background music for events including Government House formal occasions, Ceilidhs, weddings, and government receptions.

Laura is an internationally published composer (M.Mus), a member of The Canadian League of Composers, and an Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre.  She has received numerous grants and commissions to create new works.  She spends countless hours sharing her talents with students in her studio and lectures sessionally at the University of Regina.  For more information, go to www.laurapettigrew.com.

Glenna began studying piano when she was seven, and had earned her Grade 8 through the Royal Conservatory of Music by the time she was fourteen.  In the local band program she played French Horn, trumpet, or snare drum, as needed, and she still plays in the Arcola Band.  However, she always loved the harp, and as soon as she had the opportunity, she focussed upon harp as her primary instrument. She balances her life by working as a Professional Engineer! Click here to go to her home page.
