ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

   For non-academic students pursuing an opportunity to study English in Canada, we offer an Intensive ESL (English as a Second Language) and TOEFL Preparation (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Program and a Summer English Conversation and Culture Class.   

                

 

INTENSIVE ESL AND TOEFL PREPARATION PROGRAM

This course can prepare you to write the TOEFL, a basic requirement for most secondary institutions in Canada and United States. This program can also prepare you for the TSE-Test of Spoken English and the TWE - Test for Written English. You can take this program at any time throughout the academic school year.

To equip you with a comprehensive vocabulary base, we offer this program in conjunction with our regular academic timetable. That is, you participate in TOEFL Preparatory classes, ESL tutorial classes as well in academic courses designed to hone your grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening/speaking skills.

Our instruction in integrated and individualized to provide the learning that best suits you.                                        

 

SUMMER ENGLISH CONVERSATION AND CULTURE CLASS

    This summer program allows students to learn English while exploring the culture of Regina Saskatchewan, Canada.

    Queen City Collegiate offers this high energy, dynamic, vibrant, program during the summer months (July & August ). You may attend the full eight weeks or a portion thereof.

    Your classes will focus on intensively on listening and speaking skills. You will also be expected to complete activities involving reading and writing. Pronunciation, idioms, group discussions, music, guest speakers, role playing, interviews and excursions all contribute to this lively learning experience.

    The needs and interests of the students help determine the afternoon field trips. You could find yourself at the Imax Theatre, Science Centre, Legislative Buildings, University of Regina, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Training Academy, the Sportsplex, Norman Mackenize Art Gallery, Wascana Lake, or various cultural events and festivals and much more!
